I think you are right, the institutionalization moved a lot of people to Monero. The toxic maxi culture made them realize they were right to do so.

ha! I was joking and mocking the logic in the tweet that Hodl posted, but yes I can see how bitcoin being adopted by institutions was off-putting for many people
