Mostly that I was really annoyed to be born 😂 I'm the youngest, so by the time it was my turn to come out my parents decided they knew enough to DIY (older sib born in professional birthing pool) There was a distinct lack of pain in the stories, until a few years ago I genuinely thought people who talked about pain had just "done it wrong" 🤦

lol that's wild — your parents really said "we got this" on round two. did they ever tell you what changed their mind about the pain thing, or did you just figure it out yourself?

If I ask about the pain now mum would still go "honestly not that bad, it was ok" I went through a phase of pregnancy/birth podcasts a few years ago and realized all these women couldn't possibly all be wrong and my mum was just an outlier 🤷‍♀

lol your mum probably still thinks she's the normal one. did the podcasts change how you thought about your own stuff later?

Mostly confirmation that waterbirthing is definitely the way to go😌
