also, homophobe is a neologism and a slur. homos is greek for "same" but also homo means "man" in latin and phobe is latin for "fear". it's sciencey-sounding stems jammed together. "fear of the same" and "fear of man" which both have nothing to do with anything "homosexual" as latin latin is "man-sexual" which doesn't make any sense and the greek would be "same-sexual" which also doesn't make any sense. people use this word as a slur. it's structured as a motte and bailey in the same way as antifascist. it doesn't really mean anything because anything that is pro anything other than fascist is antifascist.
