I've never used a paid relay and I don't really see what the advantage could be.
If they gave you any guarantees, that would be a reason for using them. But they seem to be just like free relays, except they are paid.

yes, and i'm not sure i'd even want to support that type of system
that being said, if there was some addition of extra services like post reach or blossom server then i'd think about it
the 21 sat one seems reasonable though (in terms of price accesibility)
My relay is public but doesn't retain anything after a few days unless you're paid. Only 10k once, comes with 8gb blossom storage and NIP5 too.
a few thousand more sats saved, and i may just sign up 🤞
