My relay is public but doesn't retain anything after a few days unless you're paid. Only 10k once, comes with 8gb blossom storage and NIP5 too.

So the only advantage over a free relay is storage.
I guess that is useful.
It would especially be useful if Blossom were a thing that people actually use.
