Why care about any of this if in your opinion there was never a chance for mass BTC adoption and Monero is going to face inevitable capture? What's the point? Feel bad in the face of what cannot be changed?

I care because I was ~85-90% in BTC up until a few months ago and then I started doing my own research.
The point is to seek and speak truth and form your own opinion.
I find this empowering. Some things you can't change and some things you can (on a local scale).
If this makes you feel bad, maybe don't read.
