The Women of Satoshi Cooperative educates women in rural Malawi 🇲🇼 about Bitcoin and equips them with financial literacy. Thandi Mtemang'ombe, the co-founder of the cooperative, is passionate about not only educating and supporting these women but addressing the root causes of what hold women in Malawi back financially. As I wrote the piece in the post below, I felt the same sort of excitement that I felt when I first wrote about the work of Lorraine Marcel, founder of Bitcoin Dada, years ago. The feeling was similar to what I used to feel when I'd discover new talent in the music business (a former career of mine). It's a sense that you're in the presence of someone with incredible talent and vision — a rockstar, so to speak. This is who Thandi Mtemang'ombe is, and the work she's doing in Malawi 🇲🇼 via the Women of Satoshi Cooperative is both incredibly important and deeply inspiring. It was an honor to help her share her story, and I look forward to following her work in the years to come. Enjoy :) View quoted note →
