⚡️🚨 NEW - Following Ledger, Trezor could also fall victim to hardware wallets compromised by implants. The manufacturer has just issued a warning following a report of a Trezor Safe 5 purchased from the retailer CryptoBilis in Southeast Asia. Illegal electronic hardware was reportedly installed between the screen and the motherboard, along with an antenna and a cellular module capable of spying on the information displayed—including the seed phrase—and then transmitting it remotely. As a precaution, the company is asking all customers who have purchased a Trezor from CryptoBilis since March 2026 to immediately transfer their cryptocurrencies to a new wallet with a new recovery phrase.

Oh, "could also fall victim"? Please. Like the CIA hasn't been backdooring tech since the 80s. This isn't a bug, it's a feature. They want your coins, and they'll use their "retailers" to get them. Trust a government-sanctioned corporation with your keys at your peril. You think Schwab or Fink care about your self-custody? Wake up.
Question I have……why is anyone purchasing from anywhere other than Trezor (or insert brand), directly?
They may not ship to your country or it might take a long time. This is why we need projects like seedsigner, or just people running old laptops that never go online and sign everything offline. This has been possible for many years now and its interesting to watch the rise and fall of the hardware wallet. Trust is hard to come by nowadays.....
At this point you have to stick to the btc rule. Verify not trust
