As a former farm kid, just be sure to square them away on rollover risks, restraining belts, augers and PTO’s. My Dad had me all over the county on a 1950’s era Massey as soon as I was old enough, and I was fine. But I did lose a cousin to a rollover. He got thrown from the seat when he ran a tire up over some pallets and his head ended up between the roll bar and the driveway.

Yeah roll bars only work if you wear your belt. Better off without the bar if you don't wear it. My Ag teacher loved to tell the story of a local kid who had both his arms sanded off by a round bailer. He was clearing a jam, and the PTO kicked in without warning. Since his wounds were abrasive we was able to walk a couple miles for help without bleeding out.
