I’m not up to speed on all the kinds but I wanted something I could zap and collect easily from primal or damus and could be shown on most apps but not bothersome to the extreme. It helped that clawi pretty much nailed it on the first try 😂
The reason I said that is because it encodes the image in base64 and doesn’t expose the image tag, so no clients will display it and the post will appear out of context.
Makes sense. I didn't expect apps like primal/damus/amethyst to convert from base64, do they by default? There was a bit of another reason which was if somone uploads bad content there is another layer to possibly filter it.
