Why does follower count differ between clients?

Follower count is a broken metric. Nostur has the best accuracy as far as I can tell. Otherwise check nostr.band agro data.
So there are indeed people creeping / stalking in the nether lol
Oh yeah! I know at least 20 of my follows are lurkers who don't appear active but log in weekly.
