๐ Weโll take it thank you!
To be fair, because NOSTR has no algo for what notes you get fed at any given point in time other than chronological order, discoverability kind of sucks because each note just drifts by on the river. Discoverability has to extend the presence of the note on screens to more time. The river moves fast and people only tend to scroll so far down.
I think people are very selective about what they will repost for various reasons, but NOSTR requires more reposting due to its design.
Reposts are kind of huge on NOSTR.
NOSTR needs more reposting.
Yeah that's fair. But... If we get mass adoption, the begging will be a tidal wave.
*growl*
I actually like that there's a Bitcoin Art Magazine. But *growl* anyways.
Yeah, and to that same point, mass adoption implies a sea of NOSTR key-pair hodlers who have low follower counts which sucks as a bit of a catch 22.
People are a lot more likely to think you are a bot if you have just a few dozen followers so they don't follow you which keeps your follower total low and reinforces the same stigma. That in and of itself is a vicious cycle.
I think that growing NOSTR followings will require work for noobs unless they happen to be a VIP whose posts get advertised (and therefore have their visible presence extended through time). Those posts tend to get most of the engagement so unless you're a VIP, you're going to have to go to meetups or conventions and connect with people and/or create demand for your ideas by creating and sharing compelling content whether in your posts, on podcasts, in articles, advertisements for products you produce or services you offer, etc.
It's all about PoW in the real world.
