Its not so much about for buying or transactional functions but rather perception and individual valuation. It's the same object but its value is perceived differently based on how it's treated. It can also be observed in relationships for example. Depending on how a husband treats the wife, the wife herself feels more valuable and others see her as having more value based on how she is being taken care of. I'd go with presentation, or prestige, depending on the context.
