Made my fist nft using mongo rip
Why? What's up?
Look up Mongobleed, but TLDR, it's an issue with their Zlib compression. That's allowing remote attackers to leak data relatively easily.
Ah! Yes, I'd already seen the bug. But fine, it's time they shut that joint down 😅
I hadn't used MongoDB until last month, when it was used in a tutorial I was going through. After seeing how centralized it is, I was surprised that it seems so popular. It seems like a horrible storage option.
I'm a little late in seeing the bug, but an article came across my RSS feed. I don't use Mongo personally, so I don't keep super close track of what's going on in that ecosystem. 😅
I don't use it personally, so I'm kind of late to seeing this bug. I didn't know it was as popular as it is. 😅
I'm a DBA (mainly Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) and some developers at my current job are suggesting using MongoDB in new projects 💩
Lmao 🤣
Like folks, do you pay attention to tech news? (Guess I don't have much room to talk as this happened in mid-December.)
