I'm not all that brilliant with Linux under the hood, but I've been a Linux desktop user for maybe 25 years (beginning with Mandrake, then Red Hat, Fedora, Ubuntu, Mint, Manjaro, and now Debian).
It has always been a great experience compared to Windows, especially after some earlier issues (audio) were cleared up.

Yep I remember back in the mid-2000's there were some irritations which we have all forgotten about now ;-)
