This is an honest question, I would also love to build on Nostr, but I lack the focus on adoption and diversity that is needed. This is not money like Bitcoin, and the advantages of Nostr over other networks are, in my opinion, almost inexplicable to normal people.

I'm an Ethereum person who would like to bring a lot of people here who are interested in decentralization, cryptography, privacy, programming, etc. The question is: is the Nostr community interested in this? (or will the community repel these people with meaningless insults just because Bitcoin is not their favorite crypto?)
So even if you are an ETH guy, you should still build on nostr *and* continue to learn about bitcoin.
Also set up your bitcoin wallet so people can zap you some sats. Coinos.io is a great place to start for small balances.

Literally all people I know who own eth also own Bitcoin. Not a big deal anyway. They can just mute the maxis.
FYI there are many privacy maxis here-- even advocates for privacy coins.
Nostr is for everyone. I am a rabid Bitcoin Maix and I'll never use Ethereum, however what kind of asshole would I be if I said the Ethereum community doesn't deserve to take control of their identity, attention, and content? I want you to build the best social client for Ethereum users. I won't use it, most Bitcoiners here won't use it, but that's fine, because you're not building for us. You're building for YOUR community and that's fucking cool.
Have fun playing with your shitcoin😍

you can do what you want on nostr 😊 it's freedom tech 🫶
There's no way you can be completely blocked for everyone, so there's that. There are many solid cryptographers here already, good accounts about privacy, etc. I found that almost everyone here is pro bitcoin and some people here fully live on bitcoin. Most folks just chill and if you don't like some content, you just mute it or block it in your client.
Yes, you are likely to get some negative comments about ethereum, often coming from experience. So you know, learn to deal with that and set up your client to deal with that the way you want...
Fwiw, there's also decent cz community...
