I had to stop using amethyst because it was hiding people from me (stupid wot shadowban system)and the following feed is full of spam bots that I don't even follow. (Not sure how to fix this except for muting each individual bot)

I haven't seen a spam bot in probably two years. Amethyst is amazing for keeping my feed clean. Perhaps it's Amethyst and my relays both? I'd check your relays and cut down on the large open ones and stay out of Global.
