What’s a rosicrucian?
I had a dream once revealing its existence. It was devised in the 1700s initially intended to be a tongue-in-cheek fictional christian secret society loosely based on the Kabala. In thr 1800s the idea gained momentum and turned into a real group. It's essentially something like Freemasonry with gnosticism influenced by the Kabala. It would have appealed to the atheistic bohemian dadaists of early 20th century france attracted to medieval aesthetics (like the goths and steampunks of the 1990s)
