Lol, Brazilians are heavily searching for "VPN" right now according to Google. One does love to see it: image

I know how it goes. There is a mafia of VPN cartels that is going to become very rich very soon. I won't be surprized if it turns out that they have ties with this "judge". Maybe his son configuers VLESS!

We Brazilians used to be so glad of our democracy (despite all the issues we have) that now the feeling is just of humiliation.

They probably wouldn't. But then they say, what's that thing they don't want me to use it? Now I'm going to use it even harder
Brazilian Gov't: We're blocking your acces to X, and if you use a VPN to circumvent the block, we'll fine you. Brazilian Normies: Wait, what's a VPN?!

A Internet é livre, o governo tem que entender isso.
Yeah #mullvad is one I'd trust Also #IVPN #PIA and #Nord Some people are suggesting #TOR but #Twitter has never accepted incoming tor connections in the #musk era.
What's tricky is that any activity in a profile under a person's real name will very quickly give away that said person is still accessing their account and likely doing so using a VPN. Only way around that I can think of is to use a VPN ans start a new anon account using a ProtonMail email account so nothing is easily traced back to one's identity. But I am guessing most people will not be doing this.

There's one thing that really disappoints me, though. A big part of Brazilians are migrating to Threads, from Meta. Which follows everything that this judge asks
Well I didn't try it raw today but I did connected to a VPN server in Brazil, it seemed to work okay, my VPN however has some alternative routing features for circumvention, so I'm still not very sure
Some VPN's have deep packet inspection resistance features, those are much harder to detect, might be a great choice for Brazilians
I lived through the 2014 (I think) ban of WhatsApp here in Brazil and I gotta say I'm having a deja-vu with this VPN thing, same happened back then 🤣🤣

And when they find you out, they go after your bank account, and voila, Bitcoin adoption spike. Feels like this will be the path in many places.

I think Elon is missing a great opportunity to checkmate the tyrants. He should adopt Nostr and they will not be able to censor people so easy.
