Just spent the weekend hiking/camping Enchantment Lakes in Washington with some buddies to celebrate the group turning 40 this year or next. We talked a bit about life and what 40 means to us and here’s my biggest takeaway: It’s easy to define men by their career, achievements or net worth prior to 40 but after 40 it increasingly becomes about what kind of man you are. Two of the six guys that went on this trip are still single (not their choosing) and it’s so clear how God uses marriage and kids to help men become men. It’s primal. As I stand in line to board my flight, I’ve never been more excited to see my wife and kids. image

I knew that was the PNW before I even read the description. You've made me homesick. Thank you!

That’s amazing, lots of respect. That loop is no joke especially Asgards Pass (which i didn’t do).
Ya Asgard was honestly a lot harder than I thought it would be. Did the loop with my fam and we started in the dark at 5 am and ended in the dark at 9 pm……..knees and ankles were in rough shape for a couple weeks after that

That's wonderful. I have been up in the Olympics and Cascades so many times were it simply drizzled the whole time. I have to admit that I fondly remember those trips now. Patrick McManus is 100% right about camping being "A Fine and Pleasant Misery"
