Thanks for the reply. So I can only restore the cash from seed? There is no way to recreate the wallet from the backup file?

If you have a backup file, you can wipe the wallet and drag and drop the backup file into the welcome screen.
I made a similiar mistake, dont hesitate to start over,it happens
