💯 Well, we’ve got plenty of tools now that are open source and built on Nostr… @Derek Ross built Plektos. There’s also @Jordi Llonch Esteve and @Svetski with Satlantis. Not sure where @Terry Yiu is at with Comingle? @Patrick built NostrCal. Then it’s not a Nostr app, but Evento by @Brianna HD takes Bitcoin payments. So footing the bill isn’t the issue, IMHO, but supporting our community is. I’d rather we use things in the Bitcoin + Nostr ecosystem.

I’ve had to scale back on my work with Comingle due to time constraints unfortunately. I’m cheering on all the other Nostr event apps out there!

FWIW - Native Bitcoin Ticketing is built into @Satlantis: Social Events (Not just linking your wallet to your profile - but a full on ticket management system, all bitcoin native) Lots has changed now that we have a sole focus on events.

Like Orange Pill app, @Brianna HD should nostrize Evento meetups. Orange pill app is paid, but once they blasted all their bitcoiner meetups to nostr as NIP-52 they multiplied their network power immensely instead of keeping it closed. The effort is now-a-days almost zero with all the AI vibe coding, so no reason not to do it.
