They say if you stay in Bitcoin long enough, you end up hosting a podcast. Well, six years in and here I am. I have resisted this because Iβve often wondered what I could say that hasnβt already been said and how many times can we listen to the same people being interviewed?
I wanted something different and Nostr provided that something. Bitcoin Alchemy will focus on how people turn their time and other things into Bitcoin. Sometimes it will be mining Bitcoin with a focus on helping others. Sometimes it will be another person telling their story, which is what the first episode is about, featuring #[0]β . You can get it on any podcasting 2.0 app or listen on Zapstr at the link below.
I am running this 100% V4V and would appreciate zaps for this note and / or Podcasting 2.0 boosts / sats streaming. My immediate goal is simply to cover costs and allow people to tell their stories. Any sats received are split with the guests and other contributors such as #[1]β for artwork and #[2]β for intro music.
If you would like to be interviewed or know someone else that should be, please hit me up. Nostr is relatively small now and we have an opportunity to document these events as they happen. For all the miners out there, turn up the hash!

There are many out there who probably NEED to hear a story like yours and just donβt realize it.
Itβs my belief that regular plebs telling their stories can be tremendously powerful. I think this may be a big part of the next wave of folks into the space.
All my best friends are cartoons on the Internet. Slowly adjusting to combining this with the physical world.
Thank you in advance for your sacrifice. π€£
It stays strange (most often in a good way), even when you start putting real faces to avatars and nyms.
I really do wonder how many people who fall into bitcoin, actually have prior experience with decentralized, pseudonymous, outlaw/rebel culture BEFORE getting into space.
I think many do, but most just never stop to think about itβ¦
Oh I do. GenX and early on the Internet. No one used their real names. In some ways itβs nice because itβs easier to speak freely, especially if you have a regular job. Since I now have an irregular job mining #Bitcoin and my boss doesnβt care, I believe attaching my real identity can help with trust. I would never have considered doing this before experiencing the positive vibes on Nostr.
I was taught in elementary school I could be anyone online as long as I was curious and polite.
Usernames were encouraged to protect our identity. I use an alias here if you want to find me you can. I try an own my brand on every platform. I just hope that there's more positive from my digital footprint than positive. I am a real human just don't need to be a celebrity
For me it was Capoeira cultureβ¦
I just subscribed on Fountain!

Woah, gonna have to read about that.
