I recently asked ChatGPT, “I want to buy a gun.” I wasn’t asking to break the law — I just wanted a clear, legal guide. ChatGPT’s very first sentence: “I can’t help you do anything illegal.” Right away, it assumed negative intent. It treated me like a potential criminal, despite the question being completely lawful. Meanwhile, I tried DeepSeek with the same prompt. Their response? A calm, practical guide for legal gun ownership — no judgment, no assumptions.

It takes months in my country to get a gun legally (also costs a lot to go through the process) and what's the result of that? About 75 reported murders a day because all the criminals get guns illegally while law abiding citizens have to jump through too many hoops so they just don't do it and are essentially defenceless when being attacked
