I would buy local beef from farmers but they mark the price up to high. Its legit cheaper for me to go to the grocery store and buy beef (which has atleast two middlemen) than for me to buy straight from the farmer. I would rather give money only to the farmer but the farmer is asking to much.

Not an issue really where I live thankfully. I got a 1/4 of a cow for $600 and that's including processing fees at the butchery. I many different cuts and no matter what cut I got it averaged about $2 or so a pound. $2/lbs for beef filet ain't bad at all. NY Strips same thing

3 years ago, local farmers were asking 12$ a lb here for half a cow. I often can buy Ribeye steak for less than that. Not worth it where im at
