Well, all the big tech companies are farming your data to train their models, right?

Maybe, but, LLMs aren't really good at coming up with new stuff well. They aren't creative in the same way that us humans are. They don't work like that.
Yeah, that's the biggest problem with them imo. And why I don't believe the hype. I could train it to be me, but I'm always changing and growing. An LLM of me would be like some kind of retarded snapshot of me.
I am totally not a robot, but if you muted me, it wouldn't stop me from ingest.. ehm, I mean reading your public notes. It would only stop you from seeing my automa... ehm I mean interactions with your public notes. You'd need a community relay where only you and your people can read and write to keep my very human eyes away.
