I think I would personally go for a v minimal colour background, you can make it fancy like what nostrudel did with their avatars and have the colour chosen by some sort of hex xrm the npub. But perhaps this should be a competition:).

Yeah, at first, I thought why the heck dont nostr devs just have better logos and icons. But I the. Realized that the design is part of the Open sourceness. If you don’t like the design, send something better.

Hmm, being open source doesn't mean a dev has to use ai images.

Cool, feel free to write or sponsor a PR that does that. If it looks good and it's not just a boring ad for something, I can merge. Our team is focused on other features at the moment.
