The desire to reduce energy usage is for death cults. All of life strives to maximize energy use. Trees grow towards the sun. These people are fucking retarded. They would have us hang ourselves from those same trees.

This existence is made of systems who take in resources, use what they can then discard excess. We call the excess "waste" simply because we couldn't find a way to use it ourselves. But the rest of the systems take that 'waste' as their inputs, use what they can and discard excess. Think through several of those systems sequentially and you see the ecosystem of existence on Earth.
