Not owning property is viewed as a mental illness in Australia. When you tell people about not owning property, sometimes you get pity, sometimes you get confusion. Yesterday, I was talking to an NPC about matters of world. When I mentioned that I live in a rental, his face lit up in a way I'll never forget. He immediately discounted everything I had said prior. The look of superiority that came over his face because he owned a shitbox in the burbs is how I imagine King Louie XIV would look at a peasant. The breakdown of the fiat ponzi is going to be so fucking brutal for Australia. #AUStriches

I think the “property always goes up” is a mental illness / ponzi. It’s all a false economy. Wealth extraction, not actual value from productive work, is propping up too much of our country.
