They call #bitcoin a ponzi. The two largest property platforms in Australia are owned by the two largest media groups. We are constantly blasted with headlines like: “What does [trivial matter] mean for Australian property?” “How this influencer [i.e. OF slurry] bought 10 properties before her 30th birthday” Every. F**king. Day. Remind me, what’s a ponzi?

Common commentary down under: “I was at (insert cafe/shopping centre/restaurant) and it was packed. People aren’t suffering yet…” blah, blah, yadda, yadda My hunch is that there is actually two sides to this coin: - Low debt Gen X and Boomers are in the sweetest spot in history. All assets, including cash (yes, that dirty fiat y’all despite), is producing a return. They’ve had a massive run up in asset prices, if they aren’t levered to the tits, then disposable income is fine - low asset Millennials and younger who don’t see hope in ever owning a home live for the moment. Yeah the probably DCA low amounts into something, maybe YOLO into bitcoin or have a crack at some sort of 💩coin….but there week to week pay checks are for having fun now. Fuck it, you know? So we still have some busy consumer spending. Even though we are in the midst of long per capita recession, severe decline in “living standards” and an inflationary shit fight. First edition of the MAD bill dumped. Hopefully this is the beginning of a united stand against government overreach in Australia. I’m sure they’ll repackage it and try again, but for now it’s cactus.

In NSW, it’s 10%. And that’s total homes—not just houses—including regional areas. Meanwhile, the government is flooding the country with record immigration, using dodgy student visa loopholes and commoditising what was once a respectable education system. But hey, we need more yoga instructors to address our so-called "skills shortages," right? You can’t rent because there’s nothing left. Builders and developers are going bust because there’s no profit in building. So don’t peddle the tired supply-side argument—it’s dead on arrival. And what’s the government’s long term solution? More taxes. * Taxes on properties * Taxes on superannuation * Taxes on unrealised capital gains They’ll claim these taxes only target the wealthy. But by artificially inflating property values, they’ll drag ordinary Australians into the firing line while continuing to milk the housing crisis for all it’s worth. This isn’t governance. It’s a scam. The system is rigged against you: * Housing you can’t afford. * Rent you can’t secure. * Immigration policies that crush wages and infrastructure. * Taxes that punish you for simply existing. This is Australia now—a country that exploits its citizens while rewarding the bureautards.

She emphasised the inevitability of compliance by stating, “THERE IS NO OUT” and that all must comply to the new regulations. WTF
