Seems Dario is most concerned with regulatory capture.

Scared he is.
Very scared
I've experienced all he mentioned using controlled models. Usage monitored. Access revoked and I've watched them change what the models are able to do. Looks like I need to look at open source models as a small developer who wants to iterate quickly. . .
I think he needs a hug. Never seen someone so scared.
I want wall around my garden god damn it!!! Won't anyone think of the children..
Open source threatens our business model so we need to shut it down!
He should have got his IPO out before Elon. π€£
Hurry, someone do something!! There are all sorts of dastardly people trying to use open source models. Dictators, pedophiles, warlords, homicidal maniacs, and even Europeans trying to vibe-code Twitter clones! π±
Great news to see this guy acknowledging OS models getting very good. Bullish!
Do not forget how we must protect the children from open source models.
Think about the children! π₯Ή π
And I think Sir that you are a total freakin idiot and I hope the ROI on your company goes negative because open source models eat your lunch
These Jews are always declaring anything that threatens their power as "dangerous"
Always need regulation to keep out the competition. These guys are cooked.

for some reason, I feel like I've seen this before.
the enormous drama that a lot of companies made in the 2000s when the first torrents, megaaploud and the creation of cntrl+c cntrl+v appeared
Current market leader wants to stifle competition.
oh, sure sure, you spent 10s of millions on the ai, it should be treated differently-- as if they didnt steal all the training data to begin with lmaaaao
How dare these peasants use uncensored LLM, how are we suspose to tell them how to think?? Dont they know this is dangerous for democracy
this is making me want to get every open source AI asap

"...how are we suspose to tell them *what* to think??"
Fixed it for you. How to think is different from what to think.
I would like to be happy, but knowing everything they did in the 2000s, it is most likely that with this they are beginning to plan the terrain to begin treating those who share AI repositories in the same way that they treated those who ran torrents or They shared download links like megaploud was.
Lol. Too bad you can't do jack about it. Good luck banning opensource models.
