GM nostr ☕ PV 💜 I recently quit all drugs (weed) and alcohol (not caffeine though, I'm not a total psychopath). It's been 15 days and I'm feeling great. Going to a party today, so I'm going to have to explain myself to more people than I have had to so far. I find myself thinking about this note from @HODL and it feels so true. Wish me luck 🙏

When you finally start to improve yourself you’re going to make the people around you deeply uncomfortable. Because up to this point you’ve had an unspoken agreement to be losers together. You start winning? “Hey man that wasn’t part of our deal?” You become a mirror. A mirror that people don’t like looking in. Because it reflects their choices back at them in opposition to yours. You’re gonna have to go it alone. None of those people from the past are coming with. Not a single one.

Good for you man. One time I quit weed in my early twenties. I told my friends and one of them clearly did not respect it. Because as he was passing me in a crowded house party he thought it would be funny to blow smoke right in my face. I backhanded him hard in front of everyone lol 😂 hoping it goes better for you.
