Yes, I'm just ignorant of Wavlake protocol. I've been using Linux for a long time and stand with the free software cause, but RSS and Wavlake are still kinda new for me. I always assumed Wavlake was a walled garden like Bandcamp 😅

As far as I understand, it's both open on the protocol level, and a walled garden. Wavlake outputs podcast2, but it doesn't read any. Thus wavlake users (listeners) only ever see Wavlake music in the wavelake clients, while users of some other clients can see any podcast2 feed.
