They’ve been the go-to reference for a lot of the post punk revival that started in London in 2019/20. The original Black Country, New Road material drove the most comparisons, but I think it was a little overdone (critics thought comparisons made them sound clever imo). To me, Slint sit very squarely in Gen X apathy and I love it.
