lol yeah, it’s easy to make excuses and say it’s an opportunity cost issue when there is so much to do, but the longterm effects of this are bad
Dont sleep on walking. I used to take my dog on early walks daily, and as he got older the walks got shorter until eventually they became a slow exploration of the yard. Fast forward a year, and he's still a good old boy, but I've had a noticable decline in heath and lower body mobility. I finally embraced the inevitable and started going for walks without my buddy 😥 and have noticed an immediate improvement. Neither of us are a fan of him having to stay home though.
Heck yeah, that is great! Ok, once you acclimate to that routine, up the intensity, do a solid1-1.5 hours of muscle training at the gym first thing in the morning. You will have a very clear head, will feel powerful all day (of course once you acclimate to the strength training routine) and sleep like a baby at night. Treat your body like a temple, no processed, garbage foods. Regular meditation and quiet time in nature. The accumulated effects are profound and life-changing. Keep pushing on, we are capable of so much!!
🫂💜Yes, I am like this when I am busy. I will go to the gym every day on the days when I am not busy to keep up the good habit of fitness. You were so handsome last year😄. Take care of yourself Will, we still have a long way to go. 🫂
Love it. I'm super stressed these days but managing to squeeze in a few workouts a week. Don't think I'd be functional without them. Really helps to get moving doesn't it!
i hate the gym with a passion, if I could just do a workout outside that would be ideal. I comprimised with a 60lb ruck sack + walking in nature.

I called that comute once
Do you believe that the biggest impact is the exercise, being outside, or the delay of working on a screen? I assume a combination of all three but if you had to pick the one with the biggest impact.
Felicidades 🫂. #proofofwalk
I started having walks in the morning and the evenings for now 4 years. About 30 to 45 min each time (3 to 4 km). Whatever the weather. It feels great, makes me ready for work and find solutions in the morning and clear my mind to calm down in the evening. 🚶🏻‍➡️
Totally get it, the gym is merely one venue to strength train, plenty of places to do it. For me, the biggest focus is to make certain that all muscles are stressed/trained. Backpacking is great, incorporates cardio.
I started doing pushups, crunches and lifting some weights early in the morning instead of scrolling through stuff on my phone. Life changing tbh
Exercise really do fix things. I’ve been addicted to going to a nearby hiking trail and walking up a big hill with a 10-ish pound rock, lifting it and swinging it around and such as i go. Shirtless in the sun. It makes me feel very gud doing this. Feels like something people have done for thousands of years. Fuck a gym!
I did this sometimes when working from home during lockdowns, massive improvement on energy levels and my overall mood.
Try to get in at least 10,000 steps a day. It's easier and harder than you think. But the benefits are dramatic. If you include 30 to 40 minutes of brisk walking three or four times a week, plus a light free-weight. You will essentially be physically fit. You can essentially accomplish this anywhere. Even indoors. Or with a portable lightweight treadmill\walker. I have an app on my phone that counts my steps. My phone is always in my pocket or hand. Sometimes I turn on airplane mode. But it still counts my steps. From this solid base you can always add additional things. Like going to the gym etc..💜😊
Same...I get out of bed at 5am and walk till about 7am. Changes the feel of the whole day.
So glad you’re trying to look more handsome for your wedding pics! Also better for your health, which I am certain your kid and soon-to-be-wifey appreciate so that you can live for a LONG time and play with grandkids!
