Nice, hopefully this will mean that Motorola phones with GrapheneOS installed are official Android version so these shitty app dev will not be able to block GrapheneOS on purpose (banking app, parking app, McDonald's app....๐คฎ).

Unfortunately GrapheneOS will not be a Google certified operating system. We are still continuing taking actions to try and stop these anticompetitive practices from Google. We also hope additional partnerships with major brands can create pressure to support GrapheneOS.
We hope to work with Motorola to provide some GrapheneOS features to their stock operating system too.
Is it an exclusive relationship?
Why stop at one partner. I could imagine that more companies are willing to meet your hardware demands.
We are absolutely open to more OEM partners providing they can produce the devices we need. They'd need to be very committed to helping us as we will have our time occupied working with Motorola as well.
How is it different from a modified Android from Samsung, Xiaomi or many others ?
McDonalds is not working on GrapheneOS?!
Last time I try it was blocked in GrapheneOS and Lineage OS, but I didn't try for a long time and don't care to be honest.
If you mean modified as in installed another OS, barely any in this case. They're all non-Google certified operating systems so Play Integrity hardware attestation can force apps not to work on LineageOS, CalyxOS etc.
I mean Samsung and other brands are modifying the base Android a lot to add their bullshit UI and mandatory app store and apps. And it's still certified by Play Integrity otherwise all customer of phones other that Pixels would complain of apps not working.
How is it different if Motorola officially sell a device with GrapheneOS installed stock as their version of Android ? It should be approved by Google and pass all Play Integrity check, right ?
The device / OS pair is certified. It has some requirements that if the OEM follows them they are able to be certified. For example, Google services available, many as privileged components. While we have sandboxed Google Play that is still not sufficient. Some users don't have a play services implementation at all.
So while some OEMs make awfully changed Android releases, ours is left in the dirt there. We don't try for Google certifications.
