… back when it was all about text editors like Sublime etc… long’view windows were the rage where i worked. SOAP -> XML -> JSON required tall portrait monitors. Was a bit of a status thing too… meant you were working on “real” code not just web-pages & design
Nice Pop_OS! setup you got there. Have you considered anything Arch-based like Endeavour or CachyOS? I use Cachy myself (as my current daily driver), and it works satisfactory for my needs.
I always want to do this but i'm not job searching on 3 displays lmao. i'm good with just my laptop 💻 for now.
It is bad ass! With all the travel you do, imagine having a dedicated wallet in your luggage kitted out ready to go with everything you need and no risk of losing stuff that you won’t be using which is a major pain to get replaced if you do. Leave insurance, drivers license, membership, bank cards in your fossil wallet; travel bank card, room cards, cash, bitcoin and security live here. When the fossil eventually becomes a fossil, you’ve got this worn in ready to go!
I prefer laptops over desktops too. Hard to reach the same level of power of a desktop but laptops just do so well considering they have speakers keyboard trackpad all ready too and that one plug play. Why did i write this
Looks good! I have been working on mobile setups for a couple of years now and something that benefitted me the most was getting used to a single monitor setup, with proper workspace control. This made me more productive at home and made sure I can be just as productive when away.
