Could this alignment between Bitcoin and Nostr hint at a future where all digital systems — finance, identity, media — converge toward true user ownership? Or will legacy structures always find new ways to re-centralize?

Simple answer is yes.
Until recently we owned nothing on the internet.
Bitcoin gives us money that we can own.
Nostr gives us identity that we can own.
Fanfares gives us media that we can own.
Of course legacy structures will always push custodial solutions. They will be easier and people that choose them will periodically get ripped off.
Those that do the proof of work for self custody will have security of ownership.
