back in the cold war days, trying to say that "it was weapons used by russians" to justify accusing the russians of doing it would not have worked, for a simple reason: russian weapons are all over the world, and could have been acquired anywhere. they are iranian drones, which means that even more places it could have been from, not only russians buying them, but many others not necessarily even russian allies.

china, india, much of southern asia, and western asia, all don't want WW3 on their doorstep. there's no way that the russians would do something like this. the signature of everything they have been doing so far is sticking to the letter of the international law. if ukraine didn't have funding from the West in this war it would have been over 18 months ago, and they would have been forced to concede. instead, they threw hundreds of thousands of bodies at it and have not succeeded in stopping the steady advance. there is high level, very old and historical vendettas between western europe and russia dating back over 600 years. the most notable group is oligarchs who identify as jews, a group that existed even in the time of Jesus, they are talked about in the Book of Jude as "wandering stars" - star is a word used back then to mean "angels" just like "morning star" means an archangel.
