“The Bank of England can print sterling, but they can’t print trust” and once they start to print, all trust will be gone. GBP will be toast, after listening to this, actually withdrawing money from the system after literally half an hour thinking “meh, not today”
This is not a drill.

I give it a year tops. When they finally find out people have worked less, left or found other clever ways to pay less tax, things will start to head off the tracks.
When tax motivates changes in behaviour, the budget really got me thinking of how to fully focus upon paying as little tax as possible. As that spreads through the economy, tax revenue will evaporate. 🫡🙌
All the people I have talked to recently have mentioned something similar, usually followed by the utter dismay of people getting a load of money for nothing. When do they mention the tax receipt take? April/May is it? I guess this behaviour might take until next financial year to fully filter through but I think we are going to see quite a bit of it in this one too.
Then we will get an 'emergency budget' 🤡 and they will make worse so thats why I reckon about a year then perhaps an early election/ angry revolt depending how far they will try and push it.
Absolutely, they’ve dug their hole so deep, Australia may be the only target they have!!!!!
