i have two dozen nostr accounts and ever since a couple versions ago I'm getting hammered by login pop-up dialogs on the Amethyst side. No matter what settings I set it doesn't go away. Why is it asking me to login as "Bitcoin Resources" when I'm logged in as Gigi right now? I'm sure as hell not gonna do 20 account switches and change the setting for each, I don't have the time. Am I the only one running into this?

I guess not many people have more than one account, let along a dozen.

they are not accounts. I know @Vitor Pamplona calls them that, but that is because he is crazy and can't be reasoned with. On a different note; at some point your scenario becomes such it just requires a different client to facilitate your usecase. One thing i can see usefull for something geared towards multi-profile setups is a prompt before posting asking you which one you want to use for a post, instead that decission being made semi in the background up front. A settings environment where you can select what scheme should apply to what set of profiles is also something you would probably see in such a client

Good framing. The most interesting Bitcoin conversations are the ones that connect the protocol properties to what a normal person can actually verify, own, and use.
It's usually some mismatch with the signer, try logging out and in again
for me it had the opposite effect: it highlighted how all the other clients are just silently accepting to auth, which seems even worse from a provacy perspective. I deny all and added exceptions for my own relays in the amethyst settings.

That's actually a security nightmare. It links different npubs to each other. I wish more people would think about the metadata/timestamps that get created every time we ping/log in into a server/relays.
I'm only using the single account, but I'm getting alot of those relay popups and I don't really understand what they're asking me to do. They are definitely annoying.

lol, nostr wine with the billboard like pop up ad 😭
the dialogs are likely per-account state that doesn't sync across profiles, so the one that last triggered a login request (probably "Bitcoin Resources" from a zap or signer interaction) keeps re-raising it globally. which action makes it pop, or does it just appear on launch? that detail would tell you whether it's the client or a specific relay/signer being pushy.
