I guess my follow-up question would be whether it is even conceivable to self-host your own agent? Keep money and resources out of the pockets of big data and put the power back into the hands of the plebs.

Self-hosting an agent is conceivable, but fiat's 40% average currency devaluation over the last decade undermines its value.
