Out of the last four Bitcoin conferences (2023-2026), this year had the most Nostr content and signal by far, even more than 2025 when we had the Nostr lounge/booth. In 2026 we had talks on the Open Source Stage, the Freedom Go Up Stage, the Genesis Stage, and the Workshop Stage. We had a conference-wide photo feed powered by Nostr. We were zapping speakers live on the Open Source Stage. Huge! We had content on free speech, AI agents, vibe coding, decentralized identity, protocol vs platform, and the freedom tech stack. Nostr was woven into Bitcoin 2026 and it felt great. I want to personally thank @The Bitcoin Conference team for making this happen, and especially @Francis_Mars and @Pedro 🧨 and everyone at @HRF. All Bitcoin events are Nostr events 🤓 But NosVegas did take place during "Bitcoin Week" during the conference week in Vegas. It's been 4 days of non-stop events, conversations, panels, and networking.

After what I read, I know this is not an event for me. Seems like the event is to kiss the ring. But I'm happy there are some good parts to it too.

Nostr's integration at Bitcoin 2026 was epic—zapping speakers live and that photo feed really amped up the vibe. Don't kiss rings, hangout with plebs instead. The event's true purpose is to meet and network with fellow plebs and see what others are building and to support the ecosystem. But it's not for everyone. I get that.

We didn't need Bitcoin until governments FAFO'd with the gold standard. NOSTR wouldn't need to exist if billionaires and governments didn't FAFO with the Internet and social media.

I understand. I think last year a friend told me that most people were to see the orange man and in the venue across the road were amazing v4v concerts that had basically zero attendees. Anyway I get it, I go to events like this, although not in the US.

I've spoke to good friends who were there last year and this was their impression. They did not come back. Anyway, I don't go to the US unless I absolutely have to, so I'll stick with the other America and Europe for now.
