bitcoiners dont actually spend because everytime they tap ⚡they think "but muh generational wealth!" this creates a negative feedback loop where spending doesn't happen, so merchants dont accept it, therefore it becomes a plain SoV investment. but its ok because monero is actually money. #bitcoin #monero

A few days ago, I decided to add Monero as a receiving option, mostly as a test, and these folks made me rethink my zapping. Except for a test zap, the smallest tip was the equivalent of 583 Sats. I don't even know if I should say how much the biggest was, but it definitely was the biggest zap that I ever received. And everything was done "quietly", with no bragging, even tho I would like to know who. I don't even know what npub they zapped (I have four, but I use the same receiving address). Conclusion: I'm a shitty zapper, these guys raised the bar pretty high. 🤷 Probably that's why people complain about the zaps, except for the #xmr folks. 😂

For lowest friction everyone recommends Cake wallet. It supports Bitcoin and Monero and a bunch of shitcoins and has an integrated custodial swap provider. I usually sell sats on Robosats for Monero personally.
I heard rumours Cake sells info to chain analysis companies, any truth to this ?

Monero payment targets are awesome. Would be fun to get more xmr flowing around nostr.
Hoje há 21,4M BTC em circulação, mas só ~0,03% movido por dia. A taxa de 1 sat/vB confirma que a rede está ociosa, validando o argumento: baixo volume de gastos cria o ciclo de pouca adoção de varejo.
We could have a monero payment targets database hosted somewhere If any client we wanted to use supported such a thing....
I understand the micro-payment idea, but not in today's Nostr. It makes more sense on Twitter or whatever, and it will probably happen if Nostr ever becomes a threat to them.
The more I use monero the more I love its simplicity. Unlike using lightning and praying the setup works
