Well that's a bit pessimistic... Occupying as you do a central position in the Nostr network, in the "Web of trust" sense, would clearly offer the potential for some kind of profit if Nostr takes off, wouldn't it? At least in terms of Zaps, and/or the ability to advertise one's own "projects for hire"...
Of course nothing's going to be comparable to actually owning the token that powers the network as in the case of BTC, but there are at least some benefits to being at the center of a social network when crowds shows up... Especially one with built-in monetization.
