What will happen if people feel that they have no place in the future?
The brave among us will create a new future.
Does that means violence or peace? Chaos or stability?
Escape, be depressed, redefine what place is within the new context. Could be allot ✌️
Probably more stuff like this

Yes I think the same, wild times ahead
No bueno. Good for finding out, bad for people already in the edge
True, I’m a perpetual optimist so I’m in the camp of people that will always feel that most people will feel like they have a place in the future.
That should be defended for sure
What do you think ? 🤔 we heading in that direction?
I’m just hearing the big AI labs more and more telling everyone that they are going to lose their jobs, that everything will change into a very dark and crazy future, and that the only solution is to pay them more money. To be honest, what I think when I hear that is, “You’re fucking doing it, mfs” Probably more people think the same, and even worse. I don’t know exactly what will happen, but it feels like there will be a “kill. or be killed” reaction from the people who feel displaced by this new paradigm, which is a quite large part of the population.
collect UBI checks and chill
I often wonder what 'most people' will do, but I have no idea and have no control over it so I do my own thing and help other people escape whenever possible
My take on it is it’s to a large extent mixing media propaganda made so more money goes to AI with the actual dangers it poses when implementing in places where we humans bare but safety rails, fear still sells. It helps in my view to look at the last times things since the industrial revolution upgraded and displaced allot of people, first they rally against it and then you’ll have to live with the new normal and adapt to live symbiotic. Deriving meaning from work is still very possible but will just look different.
Taking it into the autonomous killing agents zone is scary though 😆 but I now haven’t worked in robotics for 2 years so no clue on the progress 👀
You can look at historical events that look similar since we still tend to move as a herd. No garanties but probabilistic yes ☺️
True, I think Weimar + Great Depression + Roman Empire is probably getting close to the vibe, but with the added spice of a tech renaissance
That is like throwing gas to the fire xD
That's the way 🫂
The key there is symbiosis, which involves two types of species or systems in which each provides the conditions necessary for the other to continue to exist
How many times do I have to quote Elon before everyone understands?
It's not UBI, it's UHI !
Just a tiny bit more and everyone will be fine, high-fine.
True, you don’t think we could find a balance ? Depending who is behind the incentive wheel ?
Accelerando!
Universal bitcoin investment.
UBI & communism seem inevitable.
I hope I'm wrong. #AI

Universal Income and VR
I think the only way to find the balance is pushing against their will somehow, trying to find a common ground
Wouldn’t the first line of defence be when local models are smart and capable enough so we don’t have to be in their walls ? Also such a broad topic when dragging in AGI. We need some podcast content of you sir 😄
Hahaha let's see, I'm shy, I would prefer a conversation over beers. But definitely that will help, if abundance of "intelligence" is the path forward the less dependent we are from these upstream providers the best. I think if this get to a point where the access to AI is widely democratized and not monopolized, these big ass providers will become a bottleneck, and at that point we better have some community or small scale inference pools
