Yep. It’s a lot of noise. Rizful is custodial. Cashu is custodial. Spark is trust-minimized. All of this infrastructure works fine as long as the operators don’t collude and rug you, and nuke their reputations in the process. There are always risks in doing anything in bitcoin, including running your own node which comes with channel management expenses and chance of hardware failures. Running a node is awesome, but you can easily lose money on it. In the meantime, users still have to start somewhere.

And not too take this further than we need to because you and I agree on this and so many things but the reality is it’s impossible for everyone in the world to have a utxo, that’s just the math. Bitcoin banks will exist and layers above the main chain will be essential
