@Nostria does both icons and colors. I think it works pretty well, easy to see the different event types when scrolling. Filtering also makes it quick to view the different type of events.

I've tried icons and colors before but they are only used to show different types of "notifications" in the same view. I'm done trying to put all "notifications" in the same view and I'm just building new views for each type of thing I care to get notified about
