No solution without significant security drawback.
My biggest hope was Frostr, but the finished design is not that different than a remote signer that you can just grant access to any key you want. No need for the frost stuff.

I'm not sure I follow. Frostr lets you rotate out your key shares because of the frost stuff. If you remove that, you're just looking at something like nos2x.
Or is your concern what happens if the FULL nsec is compromised? In which case, I do have to agree that it does still leave you without any recourse.
Seems like the benefit is that it reduces the attack surface on the nsec by not having it all in one place.
It would be similar to one of this remote signers that the signer itself grants other keys signing rights. They keys are then just random instead inside Frost's polynomial
