No, because NIP 10 is idiotic since it doesn't allow clients to only download threads. We are wasting people's data in useless replies nobody wants to see.

Genuinely curious but … what is considered a useless reply?
When apps ask for posts to assemble the Home thread, they cannot ask for only the new posts from your follows. They need to ask for all new posts and all replies. So, for many people, the app receives 100 replies before seeing the first post. All of them are discarded.
